Netflix Canada Getting More Content

The selection of titles for Netflix Canada has been growing steadily. It seems that show that aired on the CBC network are now available on Netflix. The selection of movies has also seen a great improvement from what was available at launch.

As more people sign up for Netflix Canada It will provide the sources need to buy more titles.

The Netflix service is at a great price and you can't go wrong with joining this service. There are so many titles already on the service that these titles alone would take months to get through.

The Netflix collection now also has many popular cartoons from the 80's and I am sure there is a great fan base for these titles.

Would be nice to get some older shows like the A-Team or Alf to revisit some of the classic shows.

The list of devices that support Netflix streaming has also grown for Canadians. All the games consoles now have Netflix and many brands of Blu-ray players also have The player built-in. It looks like Canadians are getting some love from Netflix and for that we say thank you to our friends at Netflix Canada.

  1. Ummm, is this paid for by Netflix or something? Netflix has horrible content selection in Canada. I signed up as soon as the service was available, quit because of poor content, and have now just signed up again (bored on a Sunday). I'm amazed to see that many of the "New Releases" that were listed in October when I quit are still showing as new releases. Also, several of the better TV shows that I had been watching are no longer gone.
Netflix is doing nothing to secure good content in Canada. They're simply signing deals for old, outdated content. In the US, they had to sign some pretty big checks to get the amount of content they had, and are simply not doing that here in Canada.
Some people think it's because of rules and regulations, but it's not. Netflix just aren't willing to put too much effort in.
It's also impossible to contact Netflix - the best you can do is to comment on their blog, which never, ever gets addressed in any way.
You can bet that if Netflix was working on more Canadian content, they'd let you know - after all, that means more customers for them. What do you hear? Not a peep. They couldn't possibly care less about Canada, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if this service fails in Canada within a year.

  2. This blog is no way sponsored by Netflix. The Netflix service in Canada can only get programs and movies that do not have deals with Canadian content providers. An example would be Three and A Half Men CTV has the right to this show in Canada. It would be up to CTV if they wanted to let other content providers air this show or do they want to keep the exclusive rights. The older episodes might be under an agreement for syndication in Canada. This why Netflix faces a tougher challenge in Canada, but at $8.00 a month I have found enough content to get a vale out of my subscription. A show I just stared watchin on Netflix is Arested Development love this show and I never got to watch it on TV. Over time they will get more content in the meantime search Netflix and I sure there will be a few programs you will enjoy.
