New Study Renters Not Getting Cable

A new study shows that new apartment renters are not getting cable. Out of the number surveyed a pattern emerged that clearly shows younger renters can live without cable. With online content making it easier to access your TV shows online a new generation is signing up for high speed Internet, but not for cable TV service.

The bottom line is that cable companies should be scared. The movement for cable free living is growing at a faster rate then first thought. With more choice for TV viewing then just two years ago consumers are getting smart. A combination of a bad economy and more choice has created the perfect storm. With consumers finding out more ways to view content for free the need for cable TV is no longer an important part of daily life.

With free over the air digital TV a new movement for living cable free is growing. Adding in free content from the Internet the choice is clear. You no longer need to call the cable company to install service at your new home. All you need is your high speed Internet connection and a good over the air HDTV antenna.
