More People Getting Rid Of Cable

It seems like there is a movement of people getting rid of cable. That makes me happy to know others are also saving money. With the saving on average at about $1000 a year most people are learning to live with out cable. At first for those who enjoyed hundreds of channels it seems a little odd to go down to 20 to 30 channels. The ones that survive the first week start to figure out other ways of getting entertainment. With DVD's online television and yes good old fashion books, it can be done. It's funny that I started to watch a few shows online that I never did on cable. Now I hooked on some great shows and the best part is that they are free and being online I can watch anytime. With a good HDTV antenna you can also watch all the major networks in HD and some station broadcast sub-channels with other programs like movies or older shows. As more and more people find out that there is life without cable new solution and service will pop up. The cable companies might also start to lower prices or offer only the channels you want to watch. As new developments on OTA (over the air) television and internet television I will keep this blog going and share my findings. There are a few topics I want to cover in a few weeks, and as I find time to do more research and write I will get those post up as soon as I can.
